they like me, they really like me...

Um, okay. Seriously, this page has received a few awards of which I am
extremely proud. The first came in mid96, completely out of the blue.
It was a three-star award from [1]Mental Health Net.

In mid-97, I received notification from [2]The Mining Company and
[3]NetPsych that my SI page had been named a NetPsych Cutting Edge
Site (in addition to the honor, I was amused by the title).

Most recently, on 16 September 1997, I was notified that this site has
made it through the exhaustive rating and voting procedure of the
[4]Web Psychological Club with a mean rating of 4.5/5.0. The letter I
received states, "Please accept our congratulations, and thanks for
your wonderful contribution to the psychological community!!!"

Thanks to the people who've been supportive and loving and kept me
sane during the growth of this page and the increasing
responsibilities I've undertaken with the list and IRC channel: Alan,
who kept me alive in Chicago, literally and figuratively; Soren, who
was gentle and funny and kind when I was at some of the my worst
points; the counselor at the Lutheran Compass Center homeless shelter
who came out to me about her past SI when I was living there and who
pushed me to *do* something; Ruth, whose patience with me has been
boundless; Tammy, whose assistance with the administrative details of
the list has been awesome; Brett, who does a truly amazing job as
channel manager of #bus and astonishes people when they realize he's
only 15; Matthew, whose gentle prodding and deep understanding and
intense love help keep me from screaming; all of the people I've met
through the email list and the channel; and especially Matthew and
Gwenn Sheahan, who run palace.net and donated this space and never
   complain.
